Alexandria Baklarz and Jaret Spayd exchanged wedding vows during an outside lakefront ceremony June 27, 2021, at Blue Heron Wedding and Event Center in Medina, followed by a reception. The bride’s grandfather, Roger Jenkins, officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of B. Keith Baklarz of Monroeville, Pa., and Wendy and Jaison Fisher of Boardman. The groom is the son of Julie and Gary Zublena of Youngstown.

Teryn Ross served was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tyler Syms, Amanda Glorioso and Alie Woodward. Gwenn Patoray served as flower girl.

Jake Rogers served as best man. Groomsmen were Connor Funk, Connor Brandon and Dante Davis. Krystopher Baklarz, brother of the bride, served as an usher.

The new Mrs. Spayd graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in early childhood education from the University of Mount Union. She is an elementary teacher for Youngstown City Schools.

The groom graduated from the University of Mount Union with a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems. He is an IT support manager at United Technical Support Services.

Following a honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Boardman.
