Wearing off the rack 2 for 1 suits to a bar

I generally don't pay attention to what other people wear, and I tend to stay out of bars for the most part, but I went to watch a freinds band a few nights ago and noticed this trend among college-aged kids.
It's cool they are dressing nice, but do they really think a 2 for 1 deal off the rack with no tailoring is impressing anyone? Maybe it's enough to get a few sorostitutes in bed?
It was pretty warm the other night and one bigger boy was sweating his arse off to the point it was soaking through his jacket and he could have also used a manpon.

Maybe, justtt maybe, the poor college kids can't afford a made to order custom tailored suit

It's their way of peacocking. I just dont think the women who would be attracted to a man wearing a suit at the bar are the types of women that they would be interested in.
The types of women who would flock to men wearing suits at a bar are probably women in their 30s desperately looking for a male provider. Single moms, past their prime women, etc.

It wasn't a really college bar. Lake Charles had a music festival downtown last weekend and some of the stages were in music bars here.
