A new study by ParkSleepFly looked at Tripadvisor reviews for famous landmarks to find the most beautiful places. The study recorded how many times people used the words ‘beautiful’, ‘pretty’, ‘picturesque’ and ‘stunning’ in their reviews to find the most beautiful landmarks.

The most beautiful landmark in the world was an iconic USA site, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

The stunning Golden Gate Bridge connects the one mile strait between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.

Many tourists have posed for photos on the signature red bridge which has been a US landmark since 1937.

Pedestrians are allowed to walk across the iconic bridge from 5am until 6:30pm which takes around half an hour to cross.

The last spot in the UK to score a place in the top 10 most beautiful landmarks was the Tower of London.

While the Tower is now known for its beauty, it has a gory history with famous prisoners from Anne Boleyn to The Kray twins locked away in its depths.

The Tower also housed the Royal Menagerie which was home to exotic animals including lions, grizzly bears and a tiger.

One recent visitor wrote on Tripadvisor: “Had a brilliant time at the Tower with my other half! So much to see and learn!”
