The Summer Community Jam returned to Westlawn Gardens Wednesday for the first time since 2019.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced cancellations of the community event in 2020 and 2021.
Residents were invited to tour the community gardens, and Heritage Green Park and enjoy food, activities and more than 20 resource vendors.
The event took place from 4 to 7 p.m. along Custer Avenue, from N. 60th to N. 64th streets in Westlawn Gardens.
This year's event featured a performance by the Milwaukee Bucks Rim Rockers on the multi-sport court at Browning Elementary.
Visitors could also interact with the BUCKsFit Bootcamp, Kohl's Art Studio, Milwaukee Public Library's Story Walk, and music by HYFN/Radio Milwaukee.
The Summer Community Jam was hosted by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, Westlawn Resident Council, Silver Spring Neighborhood Center, UWM Partners in Health and Browning Elementary.
