An Abilene man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in a New Years Eve murder several years ago.

Isaiah Arredondo was given 20 years in prison for his role in the murder of David Devora back in 2019.

Police say Devora and some friends were watching football on New Years Eve when he was shot and killed after answering the door.

Court documents say that Arredondo and four other people went to Devora’s house to rob him.

Creshawn Howard admitted to police that he was the one that fired the fatal shot.
