Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the leading companies in Bahrain, as part of its community development programme hosted visits from two organisations -- Riffa Social Centre and Royal Academy of Police in the early weeks of August.

The youth (age group of 12-17) from the Royal Academy of Police visited the Company in five different batches. They were given a tour of the smelter and briefed about its operations and its training and development programmes as well as career opportunities within the aluminium industry.

Riffa Social Centre's group comprised youth members who were also given a tour of the smelter and presentations about its various safety, health and environment programmes, including the community-based initiatives of the Company.

Speaking about these visits, Alba's Acting Director for Administration, Waleed Tamimi said:

'As one of the leading national companies in Bahrain, Alba is committed to partnering with various community-based organisations who play an important role in promoting the exchange of knowledge and continued development of the youth. Through these visits we hope to educate them about Alba's role in the Kingdom's economic development and the benefits we bring to the society.'
