Holiday events return to Washington Park this weekend
The Al Neyer Winter Market at Washington Park returns this weekend in Cincinnati, featuring local and regional business owners selling numerous items from clothing to art, sweet treats, and more.The market will kick off this Saturday and Sunday Nov. 26-27, and will run on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 18. The event is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.The park in Over-the-Rhine is working in conjunction with Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) to make the event possible.“At 3CDC, we are fortunate to work with fantastic local artists and business owners on events throughout the year. We’re excited to join forces once again with our community partners and put local small business in the spotlight this holiday season,” Chelsea Brown, Senior Event Manager for 3CDC, said in a release. Events at Washington Park are free and open to the public. In addition to the market, Washington Park will be playing host to one of downtown’s only Santa Claus photo opportunities at UDF Santa’s Workshop presented by Galerie Candy and Gifts every Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26- Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. "So many Cincinnatians are eager to support small businesses, and the Al Neyer Market at Washington Park makes shopping local convenient and fun. With Santa making daily appearances, shoppers can ditch their annual trip to the mall and check shopping and photos off their list at the same time,” Brown said in a release. The event is free and dog friendly, but patrons should bring their own cameras for photos.Washington Park is located at 1230 Elm St. in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. Secure parking is available in the park’s 450-space underground garage facility, or at nearby Mercer Garage on Vine Street.
