British pop icon, Sir Rod Stewart, who has sold over 250 million records worldwide, will take to the stage in Glasgow and play his iconic catalog to thousands of fans.

Rod Stewart grew in popularity in the 1970s with hit songs like Maggie May and Baby Jane and is well-loved today.

The tour dates come amid the release of a new album by the artist called The Tears of Hercules earlier this month.

How to get to the Glasgow OVO Hydro for the Rod Stewart concert

Luckily, the Finnieston area is very accessible and can be got to through public transport as well as by car.

Here's how to get to the OVO Hydro for the Rod Stewart gig:

Train: The OVO Hydro has its very own train station, allowing for easy access for music lovers.

There are six trains per hour (around every 10 minutes) that depart from Glasgow Central Station from Platform 17 in the station's lower level.

There is then a walkway that leads directly from the Hydro station to the events arena.

However, due to Network Rail strikes happening across the UK, services may be restricted on Tuesday, December 3, the date of the second Rod Stewart concert.

Bus: The X19 Stagecoach stops a few minutes' walk from the OVO Hydro and runs from Easterhouse to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Govan.

Parking: The OVO Hydro has multi-storey parking (operated by Glasgow City Council) available for all OVO Hydro visitors.

There are also drop-off and pick-up areas to the west of SEC Centre which can be found on the OVO Hydro website.
