It’s been an eventful week for Luke Bryan’s wife Caroline, who revealed on Instagram that she’s recovering from “unexpected” hip surgery. In the post, she posed in a hospital bed wearing a gown and cap, giving the camera a smile and two thumbs up, tagging the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee.

“Well…unexpected hip surgery….but I got the best care and surrounded by the most selfless friends ever!” she captioned the post, which also featured photos and a video of her friends and caregivers. In the clip, she showed off her bedside walker (decorated with stickers) and a friend held up a t-shirt that read, “Straight Outta Hip Surgery,” referencing the 1988 NWA album Straight Outta Compton.

“Only the best for you,” the friend said, to which Caroline, whose casted legs were in the shot, replied: “I got all kinds of goodies.”

The 42-year-old has yet to explain what happened to prompt the emergency operation, but she seemed to jokingly reference it with the location tagged in her Instagram: “Pop Goes the Weasel.” (In true Bryan spirt, humor was found in the toughest of situations.)

Regardless, fans are glad to see her on the mend, and dozens sent positive thoughts and well wishes her way.

“Omg.. what happened? Hope you heal up quick!” one person commented. “Sending positive vibes for a quick recovery!” another added. “Oh my goodness Caroline!! You always do the unexpected but this tops it! Get better soon, we need Pranksmas!” someone else wrote.

Pranksmas refers to Caroline and Luke’s perpetual practical joke battle that, thanks to a few funny Instagram posts, has taken off with fans, and now gets its own holiday-themed event. The couple teased their upcoming series in an October post. Here’s to hoping that Caroline didn’t sustain her injury while filming it.

As long as recovery goes as planned, she’ll be back to pranking her husband (and everyone else in her life) in no time.
