He said: "C'mere, do you want to see the nicest steak on the island of Ireland?...You won't see better than that! Oh my God!"

In the background, the voices of Ireland legend Liam Brady and commentating great George Hamilton are audible as the World Cup continues to be the only show in town in bars nationwide.

Meanwhile he captioned the post: "Ya get what you pay for and the food of @theblackforgeinn costs me a bomb but I don’t care because I make bombs.

"I charge €32 for this meal. Incredible value.

"I get given out to by my internal team for giving it away at this price. Shush who’s the boss, I say."

Since returning home from the Dominican Republic just before Halloween, the MMA icon has been frequenting his main pub quite a bit.

He even used the fact that he owns the place as an excuse to party shirtless there over the weekend.

As well as letting everyone see his bulked-up frame, the 34-year-old was also keen for punters and friends to get a good glimpse of a custom gold chain he had commissioned.

It bore the name of his whiskey brand Proper Twelve.

This comes after being sued by his former training partner Artem Lobov over the sale of the whiskey drink.

McGregor sold his controlling stake in the whiskey business, alongside two other shareholders, for a combined €500m last year.

Lobov, a long-time friend of McGregor's, alleges he was the brains behind the Irishman's popular drink.

LEGAL CASE

The Russian has now opened court proceedings claiming he is entitled to five per cent of the profits from the Proper 12 sale, according to the Irish Independent.

Lobov, who is now retired from fighting, previously claimed he turned down €1m from McGregor.

McGregor will reportedly contest the lawsuit, which is likely to be worth several million pounds.

Lobov's solicitor Dermot McNamara told the Irish Independent: "My client is a retired professional fighter with a master’s degree from DCU in Finance and Capital Markets.

"We have issued High Court proceedings on his behalf to enforce an agreement with Mr McGregor regarding the Proper No. Twelve whiskey brand.

"My client was the initial creator and co-founder of the concept to launch an Irish whiskey brand associated with Mr McGregor.

"As these matters are now before the court, we will not be making any further comment."

In response, McGregor's spokesperson claimed suggestions Lobov had a claim to Proper No. Twelve were "incorrect".
