Central Arkansas Corvette Club hosting 23rd Corvette Weekend Show in Hot springs

The Central Arkansas Corvette Club will host participants from as many as 18 states for its 23rd annual Corvette Weekend Show from Oct. 21 to Oct. 22 in Hot Springs.

The Show is a fundraiser for the local charities the club supports including Spina Bifida Support Group of Arkansas, Ronald McDonald House, Beyond Boundaries and Arkansas Freedom Fund. A representative from each charity will be in attendance.

A news release said that on Oct. 21 registration for the show will last from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of Hotel Hot Springs with the lineup starting at 3:30 for the all-Corvette parade through Hot Springs National park.

The parade will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the mayor of Hot Springs, Pat McCabe, riding in the lead Corvette.

Other events will be taking place such as a scenic poker tour during the morning and a Corvette seminar with special guests.

The special guest includes Ken Lingenfelter of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering in Michigan, Mike and Laurie Yager, Owners of Mid America Motorworks in Effingham Illinois, Mr. Yager is a member of the Corvette hall of fame, Wil Cooksey, retired Corvette Assembly Plant Manager in Bowling Green Kentucky, Mr. Cooksey is a published author, and a member of the Corvette hall of fame, he is also a Vietnam Veteran, and Naveen Ravuri, Senior GM Engineer at the Corvette Assembly.

On Oct. 22, the show will start in the Hot springs Convention Center with Corvettes entering at 6:00 a.m. and judging beginning at 10 a.m.

The award presentation will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Vendors will be in attendance on both days of the event including the National Corvette Museum, from Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Silent auction tables will be in the convention center along with 50/50 ticket sales.

Anyone interested in spectating the show on Oct. 22 can do so at no cost.
