Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Rapid City Saturday to ring in the holiday season with the 24th annual Festival of Lights Parade.
With seasonal temperatures in the 30s during the parade, observers and participants both bundled up to enjoy the bright lights of the floats as they made their way down Main and St. Joseph streets.
Zirkiss, Inc., won the top award of "Holiday Magic" for its float. The "Season's Brightest" awards for best use of lights went to Four Seasons Sports Center in the business category and the U.S. Marshals Posse won for nonprofits or non-business.
The "Sounds of the Season" awards for best use of music went to Prima School of Dancing in the business category and the Green Knights Military Motorcycle Club for nonprofits or non-business. Yeti Roofing earned the "Creative Sparkle" business award for most original theme and KSLT radio received the award in the nonprofit or non-business category.

For the best effort by community or community group "Holiday Spirit" award, Cable Communication Services won for business and Rapid City BMX earned the award for nonprofit or non-business entries.
The "Festival of Lights Committee's Choice" awards were given to TrueNorth Steel in the business category and Pennington County in the nonprofit/non-business category.
