New Sleeping Sickness Drug Gets Green Light
Fexinidazole is a new drug for the treatment of Human African Trypanosomiasis commonly known as sleeping sickness. It is the first all-oral treatment for the disease which is transmitted by the bite of a tsetse fly, and has been approved by the European Medicines Agency.
