Reporter Dylan Lyons as well as 9-year-old T'yonna Major, were remembered at two vigils in Orlando, Florida on Friday night.

One event was hosted by the Nicholson School of Communication and Media at the University of Central Florida.

A second was hosted by ICP Orlando Church.

Lyons, 24, a reporter at Spectrum News 13 in Florida, was shot and killed while on an assignment in Orlando on Wednesday. His co-worker, photographer Jesse Walden, was injured and remains hospitalized.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Keith Moses, also went to T'yonna's house, where he shot her and her mother. Her mother continues to recover from her injuries.

"It is unclear why the suspect entered that home," police said during a press conference.

Police said Lyons and Walden were covering a previous shooting Moses was already involved in when the suspect shot them.
