Man dies following single car crash in Renton

RENTON, Wash. — Traffic detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in a single car crash early Saturday morning.

Renton Police Department was called to Southwest Sunset Blvd and Oakesdale Ave Soutwest at 8:55 a.m. for a fatal single car, single person crash.

According to police, a 37-year-old man died in the crash. Early indicators of the investigation show that speed was a factor and the man was not wearing his seatbelt.

While the investigation continues, officers have closed Southwest Sunset Blvd in both directions. Westbound traffic is closed at S 80th St and Eastbound traffic is closed at S 135th St.

As of 11:08 a.m., there is no estimated time of reopening
