Winter Weather Advisory expires in western Washington

Snow fell in areas of Kitsap, Jefferson and Mason counties.

KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — A Winter Weather Advisory expired for some lowland areas of western Washington.

Western Kitsap county and the lowlands of eastern Jefferson and Mason saw some accumulation.

The Advisory expired at 10 a.m. for those areas.

Snow around Vancouver

Meanwhile, the greater Vancouver was expected to see a dusting to approximately 2 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. That included Longview, Kelso, Battle Ground and Castle Rock. 

The Advisory for that area expired at noon on Saturday.

Snow in the Olympics

A Winter Storm Warning was in effect for the southern and eastern portions of the Olympic Mountains. Total snow accumulations was expected to range from 1 to 2 feet of snow, according to the Weather Service. 

Snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches was expected at Hurricane Ridge.

The Warning expired at 4 p.m.
