SHANE PHILLIPS FAMILY TELLS ME THEY HAVE MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS. THEY KNOW THE BASICS. THEY KNOW SHANE CAME HERE TO FISH ON THURSDAY NIGHT, AN AREA HE’S FAMILIAR WITH. THEY KNOW HIS KAYAK WAS FOUND, BUT THERE’S STILL NO SIGN OF SHANE. THE SEARCH FOR SHANE PHILLIPS CONTINUES IN GREENE COUNTY MONDAY AFTERNOON ON LAND IN THE AIR AND IN THE WATER. STATE POLICE SAY TWO SUBMARINES ARE ON THEIR WAY TO HELP IN THIS SEARCH THAT LAKE IS ACTUALLY PRETTY DEEP. THEY’RE ESTIMATING ANYWHERE FROM 24 TO 30FT DEEP IN THAT REGARD. SO SOMETIMES THOSE DIVING TEAMS AND OR DOG MIGHT HAVE SOME DIFFICULTY WITH ANY SORT OF UNDERWATER CURRENT OR HOW DEEP IT CAN GO. IN THE MEANTIME, ON THE SHORE, SHANE PHILLIPS FAMILY IS CONTINUING THEIR SEARCH AS WELL. I THOUGHT, YOU KNOW, MY DAD WOULD BE THE LAST PERSON THAT WOULD GO MISSING UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. REBECCA PHILLIPS SAYS HER DAD IS AN AVID OUTDOORSMAN. ON THURSDAY, HE CAME TO THIS SPOT IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP TELLING HIS WIFE, LYNETTE, THAT HE WAS FISHING. HE NEVER CAME HOME. THIS AREA IS FREQUENTED BY MANY PEOPLE AS FAR AS FISHING AND KAYAKING. SO ANYONE THAT WAS HERE THAT DAY, IF THEY COULD PLEASE JUST SHARE THEIR TIMELINE. AT THIS POINT, THE PHILLIPS SAY ANY INFORMATION, NO MATTER BIG OR SMALL, WILL HELP THEM AND INVESTIGATORS PIECE TOGETHER THE TIMELINE FROM THAT DAY AS THEY CONTINUE TO SEARCH THE AREA. PLEASE JUST LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION AT ALL. PLEASE JUST NOTIFY US. WE JUST WANT TO FIND HIM. HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS WERE OUT IN THIS AREA SEARCHING YESTERDAY, HELPING THE PHILLIPS FAMILY. THEY TELL US DOZENS MORE WERE OUT TODAY AS WELL. Officials are continuing to search for a missing fisherman in Greene County.State police say the first alert for 65-year-old Shane Phillips' disappearance came in around 11:30 Thursday night. Shane Phillips' daughter, Rebecca, says his dad went fishing Thursday afternoon. When he did not return, his family knew something was wrong. "He's a lifetime resident of Greene County," said Rebecca Phillips. "He loved this area. He loved fishing, kayaking, hunting, he loved anything outdoors." Shane Phillips' wife says she and her husband would often fish or kayak at the Wisecarver Dam. She says her husband was an avid outdoorsman and knew his way around the area, both on the land and in the water. Sky 4 with Action Cam was over the search scene near the Wisecarver Dam in Franklin Township Friday afternoon. Over the weekend, hundreds of volunteers met in the area to help the family search for Shane Phillips. On Monday afternoon, dozens more neighbors and friends scoured the area as well. Members of the Murrysville Dive Team have assisted in the search.Pennsylvania State Police say they are using all of their resources to help in this search. Crews were bringing in two submarines from other parts of the state to help as well. "They make take some time to get here but when they do, they will be a significant help," said state police Trooper Rocco Gagliardi. In the meantime, the Phillips family is asking anyone who may have been near the Wisecarver Dam on Thursday to share any information, especially if they saw Shane Phillips at any point. "Any detail helps us with the timeline," said Rebecca Phillips. "This area is frequented by many people. We know people were here that evening and that day because it was a beautiful day," added Linette Phillips, Shane's wife. "Please share your timeline, offer that information, it may help police." The family has started a Facebook page to provide updates on their search.
