Planet Fitness Opening In Lorain

LORAIN, OH - Planet Fitness, a chain of gyms, is joining the city of Lorain. The company announced it would bring its first location to the city at 2000 Cooper Foster Road. A grand opening celebration will be held May 10.

During the grand opening ceremony, which starts at 4 p.m., the gym will raffle off one year memberships and giveaway free pizza. Danni Allen, from NBC's "The Biggest Loser" will also be on-hand to share fitness tips and lead group workouts. Planet Fitness will also give a $2,500 check to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lorain County.

The new gym is 23,346 square feet and features cardio and strength equipment, a 30-Minute Express Circuit, locker rooms, showers, flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds, a Total Body Enhancement booth, and other amenities. The gym will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

New Planet Fitness members can join the gym for just $1 down and then $10 a month with no commitment now through May 19, 2017, the company said in a press release.
