Splish Splash Water Park Set to Open For Season

CALVERTON, NY — Splish Splash Water Park, a Long Island destination that's been offering fun for more than 30 years, is set to open soon for the season.

Splish Splash is slated to open on May 27 at 10 a.m. Opening weekend will feature an animal show and the introduction of the all-new Clucks & Hops Wing Bar, representatives said.

"In 2023, we look forward to building on our long and proud history as the destination for summer family fun on Long Island," said Splish Splash General Manager Mike Bengtson. "With the addition of even more special events, we truly have something for everyone. We are also excited about our all-new food stand, which will offer guests wings and our exclusive Splish Splash beer, Summer Splasher."

Splish Splash will kick off its 33rd season with an animal show featuring wildlife. The Nature Nick Animal Show will run all opening weekend long from May 27 through May 29 and will return on June 24 and 25. The educational show includes owls, hawks, foxes, toucans, snakes and more, Splish Splash reps said. During opening weekend, guests can see the new show multiple times a day on the stage next to the entrance of Giant Twister.

Guests are invited all season long to enjoy a variety of special events, including the new Kids Fest. The family-friendly event will begin on June 3 and will be held every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month, featuring a variety of unique activities such as live performances from a bubble performer, juggler and Nature Nick, meet and greets with Splish, a fairy, pirate, and unicorn, and giveaways for kids. In addition to Kids Fest, the popular Summer’s On! Concert Series will return. Park-goers can enjoy a variety of live music including country, Top 40, pop, reggae and more every Saturday in July across from the Kahuna Bay Wavepool.

Several other themed weekends will also return to Splish Splash for the 2023 season. The park’s annual Father’s Day Flop contest will take place on June 17 and Teacher Appreciation Week will be hosted in June, followed by Shark in the Park in July and Hero Appreciation Week in August, Splish Splash said.

All-new for 2023, foodies can enjoy the Clucks & Hops Wing Bar, located across from the Kahuna Bay Wavepool. The new food location will serve chicken wings, boneless wings, and a variety of beers including Summer Splasher, Splish Splash’s exclusive beer by Peconic County Brewing, as well as a variety of alcoholic beverage options.

Those interested in attending Opening Weekend can save $30 on single day tickets now through June 2. Those that want to enjoy Splish Splash all summer long can purchase a 2023 Season Pass for just three payments of $34 each, representatives said.
