A WOMAN has revealed how she was able to fly to Majorca for less than a day out in the UK.

Taneshia Deckon, 27, and her three friends flew to Spain for one day because it was cheaper than a staycation in the UK.

She shared the cheeky trip on her TikTok account.

The group of friends booked return flights from the UK to Majorca with easyJet at a cost of £30.

In the footage, they can be seen enjoying a spot of shopping at Fan Mall where they purchased matching sunglasses and sandals.

They also headed to the beach where they had a photoshoot together.

During the girls' day out, they also ate local delicacies like paella, calamari, and patatas bravas and drank cocktails.

The friends travelled light with just a handbag and even went to work the next day.

Taneshia and her friends described the trip as a "no-brainer" because their flights were cheaper than eating out in London.

She told Caters News Agency: "It's better to go abroad for the same price and you get that cultural experience too.

"It wasn’t expensive at all, considering we were in Majorca, the food and drinks weren’t expensive and in total we all spent under £100.

"You would easily spend over £100 doing something in London."

She explained how she'd previously paid £80 to visit a spa in London.

Taneshia added: "A day out in London is more expensive than a day out in Majorca.

"It's shocking how cheap you can get these flights, it's just knowing where and how to find them, and also going out of season helps as it's quiet.

"It was beautiful weather, we had a lot of sun and didn't need to wear our jackets.

"It's just crazy that it's cheaper to fly to Spain than go for a day out in London.

"We thought about just going to another city in the UK, but it's just so expensive right now.

"We realised it's cheaper to fly abroad - sometimes there's better weather as well."

While it may seem like an ambitious idea, this isn't the first time someone has flown from the UK to Europe for a day trip.

Earlier this year, a British woman revealed how she spent just £23 flying to Lanzarote for the day - and even managed to fit in some cocktails on the beach.

The mum travelled to Lanzarote thanks to the cheap Ryanair flights, spending nine hours exploring the Spanish island.

She also went on another short trip, flying to Ibiza for the day with six other mums for just £34.
