SOUTHEND West MP Anna Firth attended the grand opening of a new injury and rehab clinic in the city.
Located within Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre, it is hoped the sports rehab lab will become the “go-to” facility for injury prevention, massage and performance enhancement.
Patients can be referred to services from counsellors and holistic therapists.
The opening of the clinic marks the fruition of a life-long ambition for its co-creators, Kieran Mote and Daryl Blows.
Mrs Firth said: “The new sports rehab lab will, I’m absolutely certain, become a vital community asset.
“Kieran and Daryl have clearly put a huge amount of effort into making this wonderful service a reality for residents of Southend and I am immensely grateful to them do doing so.”
The lab will be open from Monday to Friday from 6am to 10pm, as well as from 6am to 6pm on Saturdays and 8am to 6pm on Sundays.
