When it opened next to Share House in 2022, Uptown Hospitality Group ‘s Bodega emerged as one of the top downtown restaurants to visit for sandwiches and lively vibes.

The New York City energy inspired by Uptown’s ownership group has made its way over the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge to Mount Pleasant, where Bodega’s second location is now open at 414 Coleman Blvd. in the space previously occupied by Andolini’s Pizza.

Alec Gropman, director of culinary operations, leads the kitchen at both locations.

The larger Mount Pleasant space, equipped with a bright patio and indoor-outdoor bar, is accompanied by an expanded Bodega menu.

Joining Gropman’s list of signature sandwiches — including The Lowcountry (house-made breakfast sausage, egg, cheddar and sausage gravy) and Bodega Classic (egg and white American cheese with bacon, Taylor ham, sausage or vegan sausage) — is a full slate of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes.

Bloody marys, mimosas and craft lattes like the Nutella shaken espresso can be paired with your meal.

Bodega Mount Pleasant is open 6:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. daily. For more information, visit eatdrinkbodega.com.
