Sycamore Shoals

The solar eclipse will be celebrated in the park on Monday, April 8 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.


ELIZABETHTON — More outdoor events are taking place at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park, 1651 W. Elk Ave., during the month of April, thanks to the arrival of springtime and the partial solar eclipse scheduled for the first part of the month.

The solar eclipse will be celebrated in the park on Monday, April 8 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Activities are free and will include telescope viewing, making a pinhole solar projector, interpretive programs and coloring sheets for all ages. Eclipse viewing glasses are available at the park gift shop while supplies last. All activities are dependent on the weather.
