CHECK BACK IN WITH YOU THEN, ANN. THANKS. WELL, NEW AT FIVE. A MAN WHOSE BODY WAS FOUND IN A VEHICLE SUBMERGED IN THE DES MOINES RIVER HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED. SOME ONE NOTICED THE VEHICLE IN THE RIVER NEAR ROCK BLUFF PARK IN WAPELLO COUNTY ON MONDAY. THE BODY WAS PULLED FROM THE VEHICLE ON TUESDAY. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS HE IS 53 YEAR OLD LEE ALLEN LOCKHAR

Southeast Iowa sheriff ID's body pulled from river
The Wapello County Sheriff's Office has identified the man whose body was found in a submerged vehicle that was pulled out of the Des Moines River near Rock Bluff Park on Tuesday. Wapello County Sheriff Don Phillips identified the man as Lee Alan Lukehart, 53, of Ottumwa. The Wapello County Sheriff's Office has identified the man whose body was found in a submerged vehicle that was pulled out of the Des Moines River near Rock Bluff Park on Tuesday.

Wapello County Sheriff Don Phillips identified the man as Lee Alan Lukehart, 53, of Ottumwa. Phillips said his department is continuing to investigate the events that led to Lukehart's death.
