MISSOULA, Mont. — Data from the Montana Department of Health and Human Services shows a 27 percent rise in RSV cases for the week ended February 17.
The department's pan respiratory dashboard notes there were 88 positive RSV tests documented in Montana that week, up from 69 the week before.
Cases and hospitalizations from COVID-19 and influenza continue to decline across the state and are back to levels seen at the start of the respiratory illness season in October and November.
So far this season there have been 77 deaths from COVID-19 and 38 deaths from influenza. No deaths from RSV have been reported in children under the age of 5.
