The North Kingstown Police Department said Wednesday that it arrested five people after a report of a disturbance at a fast-food restaurant involving a knife.

Police said they were called to a Burger King at 7041 Post Road at about 6:13 p.m. Monday for a disturbance.

According to police, their investigation revealed that a 15-year-old boy was in an altercation with 19-year-old Theodore Sears in the restaurant.

Officials said the altercation stemmed from an existing disagreement between the two.

Police said surveillance footage showed the 15-year-old boy brandishing a knife during the altercation.

North Kingstown police said a total of five people were arrested in altercation:

  • 15-year-old male of North Kingstown, for felony assault, weapons offenses and disorderly conduct.
  • 19-year-old Sears of Providence for simple assault and disorderly conduct.
  • 12-year-old male of North Kingstown for disorderly conduct.
  • 43-year-old Gina Myers of North Kingstown for disorderly conduct.
  • 15-year-old female of Foster for obstructing a police officer in the execution of duty.

No one was injured during the disturbance, according to North Kingstown police.
