SUV reported stolen in Connecticut found on fire in Scituate

SCITUATE, R.I. (WJAR) — An SUV that authrorities said was stolen was found on fire Wednesday off Route 6 in Scituate.

Officers were looking at the burned SUV and an empty gas container as part of arson investigation.

The state fire marshal was searching some nearby woods and a trail near the town soccer fields.

Scituate police said the van was reported stolen in Dayville, Connecticut.
