More than 50 Arkansans arrested for violent crimes in law enforcement operation

Several law enforcement agencies worked together during "Operation Early Harvest" to help make the streets of Central Arkansas more safe.

CONWAY, Arkansas — Sometimes tracking down criminals with outstanding warrants can take a combined effort from several law enforcement agencies. This is exactly what happened across Central Arkansas recently with "Operation Early Harvest."

The operation was designed to take dozens of repeat, violent offenders off the streets in an effort to make Faulkner County more safe.

For months, the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals, Arkansas State Police, with Mayflower and Conway PD prepared for "Operation Early Harvest."

The goal of the operation was to arrest several violent criminals.

"The people in Faulkner County and in surrounding counties, and really in the state of Arkansas can sleep a little bit better tonight," said Tim Ryals, Faulkner County Sheriff.

Last week, 56 people were arrested. Their charges ranged from aggravated assault, battery, terroristic threatening, kidnapping, and theft.

Out of those who were arrested, there were 41 felony charges.

Police also found suspected fentanyl. It was sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab for analysis.

However, not everyone on the list was arrested.

"If you're a felon with an outstanding warrant you might want to go ahead and turn yourself in before the combined forces of the Arkansas State Police, your local sheriff's offices, and police departments, and U.S. Marshals come looking for you," said Jonathan Ross, U.S. Attorney.

We asked for the names of those arrested and were told they were not releasing them yet.

We will update this article when we get that information.
