WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The woman who was allegedly kidnapped in Wildwood has been located and is safe, the city's police department reported Friday afternoon.
The Wildwood Police Department asked for help locating Marivel Dunn, indicating she was forcibly taken late Thursday night. In a series of posts, the police department provided updates on the search and included surveillance camera footage of the alleged abduction.
In issuing its alert, the police department stated she and the man accused of kidnapping her have ties to Palm Beach County as well as Marion and Sumter counties.
The update that Dunn was found did not say where she was located, only that she was safe. The man accused of kidnapping Dunn and slamming her onto the ground in the process was spotted by law enforcement outside of Sumter County, where Wildwood is located. At the time of the post, shortly before 1 p.m., police said he was being taken into custody.
Dunn was last seen wearing a white sundress and white sandals, according to WPD.
