About

The New York Rangers Youth Hockey Camp is a drop-off/pick up camp which operates Monday - Friday from 8AM - 5PM at each scheduled location. Our daily schedule includes:

  • Morning and Afternoon On-Ice Sessions & Skills Development
  • Off-Ice Skills Session
  • Recreation Time
  • Strength & Conditioning
  • Classroom Session focused on on-ice skills and off-ice nutrition

On-Ice Sessions

Each day consists of 2 on-ice sessions per day for all players. One hour and fifteen minuets in the morning and one hour and fifteen minuets in the afternoon. Sessions are designed in partnership with USA Hockey to help increase the number of touches on the puck and promote greater skill development. All practices will progress throughout each week from skating skills to a heavier focus on puck skills and drills.

Off-Ice Skill Sessions

Players will be challenged daily off the ice to help develop individual stick skills, shooting techniques and more.

Recreation

To help players take their mind off of the game while still developing necessary motor skills that will help them on the ice, instructors will lead players through a number of different sports throughout the week including spikeball, whiffle ball, and soccer!

Strength & Conditioning

Age-appropriate training throughout the week will help players with their agility, balance, coordination and speed. These off-ice sessions will follow the American Development Model for all of our respective age groups. More information on ADM can be found by clicking here.

Classroom Sessions

All groups will be taken through a host of different interactive topics each week reviewing on-ice and off-ice lessons as well as nutritional topics.

Lunch

Families may provide their own lunch. Food may be purchased at each facility. Please see each specific registration link and location for more information on lunch options. If you are bringing your lunch we ask to be mindful of any common allergens amongst children (ex: nuts)
