AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. — The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is searching for two people wanted for murder following the discovery of a North Augusta man's body on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said the investigation began around 5:20 p.m. when deputies responded to the 900 block of Old Aiken Road. There, they found a man, later identified as 32-year-old Tavaris Burley, lying face down next to a car. Witnesses said they saw suspects driving away from the incident.

On Thursday, the sheriff's office said it is looking for 29-year-old Shirlette Dainelle Hayes and 23-year-old Stephon Xzavier Dunbar and said both are wanted for murder.

Investigators describe Hayes as a 5 feet 8 inches tall, 120-pound woman with black hair and brown eyes. Dunbar is a 6 feet tall and 130-pound man with black hair and brown eyes. The sheriff's office said both should be considered armed.
