One person was injured after a tour helicopter crashed at Honopu Beach on Kauai, Tuesday afternoon.
HANALEI, Hawaii (Island News) -- One person was injured after a tour helicopter crashed at Honopu Beach on Kauai, Tuesday afternoon.
According to Kauai County authorities, a Jack Harter Helicopters tour with one pilot and four passengers on board went down at Honopu Beach around 1:40 p.m. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
One of the passengers suffered a back injury in the crash and was taken via medical helicopter to Princeville Airport where they were taken by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation.
The pilot and three of the other passengers were not injured. They were picked up and taken to safety by another Jack Harter helicopter. No identities have been released.
This incident is under investigation. No other details have been released.
