SEA Airport launches new reserved parking system

The new system will guarantee a parking spot and allow customers to make a reservation in the garage up to 120 days before arrival.

SEATAC, Wash. — SEA Airport launched its new reserved parking system on Tuesday that will guarantee a space regardless of garage occupancy or travel seasonality.

The airport's reserved parking system will be on the fourth floor of the airport's parking garage. Drive-up parking will still be available on floors 1-3 and 5-8 in the garage.

Officials said reserved parking requires that customers make an online reservation in advance of garage arrival and scan the QR code associated with their reservation upon entry to park on the floor. Reserved parking is exclusive to reservation customers, and drive-up parking will no longer be allowed on the floor, airport officials said in the release. If a driver makes it to the reserved parking floor without a reservation, they will be diverted to another lane to exit to general parking.

According to the release, customers can make a reservation in the section up to 120 days before arrival. Customers can modify or cancel an existing reservation without penalty up to six hours before their reserved entry time. Reservations canceled within six hours of reserved entry time will incur a $25 cancellation fee, however.

The airport said its pre-booked parking program and the fourth floor of the garage will be rebranded to "Reserved Parking" ahead of the program's launch. The current pre-booked parking program was discontinued on Feb. 29, but any bookings made before the date will be honored at the garage entry.

SEA Airport said customers with questions or concerns can email or call its parking customer service, which is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The service line is 206-787-4888 or via email at parkingbookings@portseattle.org.
