Stewartry Sharks treated their mums to a wet morning out at Moffat RFC for Mother’s Day on Sunday.

It was due to be a round robin competition between Stewartry, Moffat and Langholm, however, Langholm were unfortunately only in a position to field younger teams.

As a result, Stewartry P7s played Moffat and Stewartry P6s had a talented Langholm player join their ranks. Stewartry came out winners in both the matches.

Stewartry P5s played Moffat in a very close match with both sides making the most of any possession they got and converting it into tries. They then played Langholm who, despite great defensive play, were unable to fend off the Stewartry attack.

Stewartry P4s played both Moffat and Langholm and beat both teams convincingly.

The P1-3s played teams from Moffat and Langholm and they certainly did not let the rain slow them down.

Their passing was great and allowed their team mates get into space and make breaks to score.
