WE BEGIN WITH BREAKING NEWS RIGHT NOW OUT OF THE BAY AREA, PROTESTERS CALLING FOR A CEASE FIRE IN GAZA, DISRUPTING TRAFFIC AND BLOCKING SECURITY CHECKPOINTS AT SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. TODAY, A GROUP CALLED CRITICAL RESISTANCE SHOWED UP AT SFO ABOUT 830 THIS MORNING. YOU CAN SEE THEM STANDING THERE HOLDING THAT SIGN THAT SAYS STOP THE WORLD FOR GAZA. THEY WERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE TSA SECURITY LINE FOR THE GATES AT THE INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL. ACTIVISTS ALSO LOCKING ARMS TO BLOCK GATE G AT TERMINAL ONE AND OUTSIDE. YOU CAN SEE IN THESE PICTURES THEY’RE MARCHING OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT. DESPITE THE INTERRUPTION, FLIGHTS WERE STILL TAKING OFF ON TIME. ABOUT 10 A.M., POLICE ARRIVED WITH BUSSES AND TOW TRUCKS, BUT NO WORD ON IF ANYONE WAS ARRESTED OR HAS BEEN ARRESTED. ORGANIZERS SAY THE PROTESTS LASTED 153 MINUTES. ONE MINUTE FOR EACH DAY. TH

A protest broke out at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) on Wednesday morning with hundreds of demonstrators calling for a cease-fire in Gaza. According to NBC Bay Area, security checkpoints were blocked inside the international terminal and airport traffic was disrupted outside the terminal. The protest began around 8 a.m., an organizer told NBC Bay Area. Demonstrators reportedly chained themselves together in the terminal, which SFO said remained open throughout the protest. SFO sent out a series of tweets as the protest was happening, encouraging passengers to take alternate routes to get to their terminal. Shortly before noon, roadways and security checkpoints reopened completely.
