TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Monday night was full of spring sports as teams were out on the diamond or the links.

Baseball

Canyon Ridge 18, Mountain Home 6 (game one)

Canyon Ridge 10, Mountain Home 8 (game two)

  • Canyon Ridge (2-2) was down six runs in game one but stormed back for a monster win against Mountain Home. Caleb Somers went 2-for-2 with two doubles, two runs scored, and three RBIs. Kohyn Barnes had three RBIs, while Chrisitan Waitley and Connor Capps had two RBIs each.

Gooding 12, Buhl 2

  • The Senators (1-3) got the bats swinging and scored 10 runs in the opening two innings. Buhl (2-2) couldn’t respond trailing largely as Gooding picked up its first win of the year. Bryce Patterson went 2-3 with four RBIs leading the Senators.
  • Dominic Robles Pierce drove in both runs for the Indians on Monday.

Glenns Ferry 14, Rimrock 0

Glenns Ferry 12, Gem State Academy 2

  • It was a dominant pitching display from Glenns Ferry (4-2) Monday afternoon. In game one, Jesus Ortiz threw a no-hitter as he struck out 14 batters. In game two, Dominic Guerrero and Junior Sanchez both saw action on the mound and threw the Pilots second-straight no-hitter.

Lighthouse 25, Wilder 4

  • Yes, that score is correct, Lighthouse (2-1) dominated Monday afternoon as the Lions brought in 17 RBIs in the win. Kai DeMoor stuffed the box score with an inside-the-park grand slam in the first inning. Cole Richey and Ben Ford also had great days at the plate with three RBIs a piece. Noah Harker-Reid got the win, striking out 12 batters.

Softball

Canyon Ridge 17, Mountain Home 7 (game one)

Mountain Home 10, Canyon Ridge 9 (game two)

  • The two teams split the doubleheader on Monday. Elise Summerfield and Aly Milligam led the Riverhawks in game one with three RBIs each.

Wendell 12, Filer 5

  • Wendell (3-1) got the bats swinging early as they jumped out to a 6-0 lead within two innings and never looked back. Ainsley Clark was a perfect 2-2 from the plate, including a home run and three RBIs.
  • Filer (1-4) was paced by Madilyne Dyer who went 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored two runs,

Golf

The Valley Vikings hosted a girls + boys golf match on Monday.

The Filer Wildcats dominated for both boys and girls

Tanli LeMoyne took first place for Filer with a score of 74 on the girl’s side while her brother Karsen LeMoyne shot a 77 to take first for the boys.
