HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Due to rising Buffalo Bayou levels post-heavy rainfall, the US Army Corps closed Addicks and Barker Reservoir floodgates Friday morning, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones’s Office.
Precinct 4 staff closed Patterson Road from Highway to Eldridge Parkway near Bear Creek due to flooding.

Strong storms that moved through Thursday and overnight into Friday morning brought torrential rain to the Houston area, leaving some high-water spots.
