THE LATEST. AND LISA, WHAT DO WE KNOW. SO FAR? WELL, I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE GIANT HERE WAS CLOSED FOR SOME TIME, BUT IT’S BACK OPEN AND PEOPLE ARE SHOPPING BACK TO SHOPPING NOW. THE SHOOTING TOOK PLACE OVER HERE IN THIS PARKING LOT. POLICE HAVE CLEARED THE SCENE. THEY CLEARED 29 SHELL CASINGS. THIS TOOK PLACE AT AROUND 1245 AT THE EDMONDSON SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER. WHEN POLICE GOT HERE, THEY FOUND A 20 YEAR OLD MAN SUFFERING FROM NUMEROUS GUNSHOT WOUNDS. MEDICS TOOK HIM TO THE HOSPITAL. RIGHT NOW HE IS LISTED AS STABLE PEOPLE WHO CAME HERE JUST TO SHOP WERE DISAPPOINTED. ALL. AROUND AND THE SECURITY CAME. AND TOLD ME IT’S CLOSED, I SAID CLOSED AND SHE SAID IT’S BEEN A SHOOTING. WELL, THANK GOD I WASN’T UP. HERE. MHM. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT. IT’S NOT GOING TO GET BETTER RIGHT NOW I SEE TOO MUCH. GIANT ISSUED THIS STATEMENT WITH DEEP SADNESS. WE CAN CONFIRM A TRAGIC INCIDENT OCCURRED IN THE PARKING. LOT OF OUR STORE. WE ARE COOPERATING FULLY WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AS THEY CONDUCT THEIR INVESTIGATION. A supermarket is closed after a 20-year-old man was shot numerous times Tuesday afternoon at a Baltimore shopping center.City police said officers were called around 12:45 p.m. to the Edmondson Square Shopping Center in the 4600 block of Edmondson Avenue, where a 20-year-old man was shot. He was taken to a hospital, where he is stable, police said.A potential suspect is in custody, police told 11 News, but no further information was immediately released.An 11 News crew at the scene reported the Giant Food store was closed with crime tape set up around as many as 29 shell casings strewn outside the store.Giant Food sent a statement to 11 News, saying: "With deep sadness, we can confirm a tragic incident occurred in the parking lot of our store at 4624 Edmondson Ave., Baltimore, MD, on March 12.
