AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — Multiple agencies worked for hours to contain a large brush fire on Roses Mill Road in Amherst County on Thursday.
During the blaze, the road was shut down in the 1000-block area.
According to Amherst County Public Safety, an estimated total of 20 acres were burned by the fire.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or properties damaged.
Crews worked on the scene for approximately 5 hours, before clearing at 9:30 p.m.
