Dawson City Council, mayor votes not to renew city manager contract

DAWSON, Ga. (WALB) - Current Dawson City Manager Tracey Hester’s contract has not been renewed for another term, according to Hester.

He tells WALB, that on Thursday, March 14, Dawson Mayor Robert Aaron and the city council voted not to renew his contract.

The vote was reportedly led by Councilman John Harris in a 4-3 vote not to renew.

Hester says he will continue his role until the end of March and will not fight against the ruling.
