Warmer week ahead for metro Phoenix
PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) —After a cool start to the day in the 30s, the Valley will warm to the mid-60s this afternoon under clear skies with light winds. A high of 66 degrees is four degrees below normal for this time of year in Phoenix.
High pressure will begin to build over our region during the new week ahead. This will lead to dry and tranquil conditions, along with a gradual warm-up. Expect highs in the low 70s Tuesday and Wednesday, with a climb to the mid-70s on Thursday and Friday. Mid-70s continue next weekend, along with dry weather.
A dry week is also on tap for the high country. Slow snowmelt will begin with warmer weather as well.
Longer-term forecasts show the potential for wet weather returning next week, but a lot of uncertainty exists as to the timing and track of our next storm. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer.
