A man who pointed a gun at a person inside a Clinton residence was arrested after an hours-long stand-off early Friday morning, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, Clinton police requested assistance from Rock County deputies with a disturbance at 606 High Street in Clinton, Sgt. Brad London said in a statement.
During the investigation, authorities determined that a 20-year-old man from Freeport, Illinois had pointed a gun at a person in the residence, London said.

The Rock County SWAT team was called to the scene and after multiple hours, the man came out and was arrested without incident. He was taken to the Rock County Jail on tentative charges of second-degree recklessly endanger safety, failure to comply with police and felon in possession of a firearm, London said.
