Starting from March 18th to the 21st, the Plastics Industry Association is holding its annual Spring Meeting and partner with the American Chemistry Council for a Plastics Industry Legislative Fly-In. These events allow for plastics industry stakeholders to gather in the nation’s capital to help set the direction of the industry, promote a sustainable future, navigate the economic landscape, showcase innovation and insights, and advance key policy initiatives.

The industry legislative fly-in bridges the gap between local employers from the industry and elected officials on Capitol Hill on a wide range of policy issues including plastic sustainability, recycling, and promoting innovation. “Our Spring Meeting and Legislative Fly-In allows for advocacy with elected officials on behalf of our entire industry to reiterate the importance of plastic as an essential material,” said PLASTICS President and CEO Matt Seaholm. “We know our industry has a role to play in keeping waste out of our environment and we look forward to productive conversations with policymakers to reach our shared sustainability goals, while representing the over one million workers supported by the plastics industry.”
