This savvy mum packed in her nine-to-five when she saw an opportunity to make more cash from home - and claims she's "never short on money".

There are many ways for people to make a living these days, and while the traditional route of working in an office is the norm for most, mum Megan Stewart swears she will never go back as she can now work from the comfort of her own home.

The 24-year-old has three streams of income from social media and relies on popular brands to pay for all her bills, but admits that home working can be "time-consuming".

Megan from Walpole Cross Keys, King's Lynn, said: "I now earn around five times more per month than I used to in my office job. I like to have three different streams of income so I'm never short on money. On the social media side of things, I do basically rely on the brand work to pay my bills.

"I probably could just rely on social media to make an income, but I'm not about that life just yet. I like to be comfortable, and I like to be able to earn myself extra money."

Megan now earns five times more than the average UK salary, and revealed her main source of money is made through her social media - predominately TikTok. She has over 100,000 followers and she can profit from this through the TikTok beta programme where she gets views on her videos. She says she can make up to £1,500 per video.

Alongside this, the moneymaking mum works with brands on campaigns and advertisements. But it's not all easy work, as Megan revealed she "relies solely on inbound emails" and if she doesn't get any leads from brands, she will be out of work.

The work can often fluctuate and she admitted some months she's left with very little. She explained: "The thing that brings me the most amount of income is the campaigns that run alongside social media. This kind of work does fluctuate quite often as I've had months where I've had so much brand work that I cannot keep up with it and months where I haven't had a single email.

However, Megan said it's "steady" enough, as she is typically asked by brands to create 15-second clips for their social media accounts. But the influencer says it can be "time-consuming" especially as she is pregnant with her second child.

"The more followers that I have, the less UGC (user-generated content) I get asked to do. But when I started out I was charging £350 per video, but I have also earned £1,500 from a UGC video."

The third way the mum-of-one cashes in is through social media management, as she's currently heading up three different social media pages for brands.
