Sandalwood actor Ramya has opted out of the film Uttarakaanda, which was supposed to mark her return to the Kannada film industry. The film, directed by Rohit Padaki and featuring Dhananjaya in the lead role, will no longer feature Ramya. Her exit from the project has garnered attention from fans and industry insiders alike.

Ramya gave a voice-over in the North Karnataka dialect for the teaser of the film Uttarakaanda and received a positive response. However, she announced her exit from the project due to scheduling conflicts. In her post, she mentioned that her film and political commitments have been put on hold. She wished the team the best of luck with the project.

Her decision to pull out of Uttarakaanda has left her fans upset. They were expecting to see her come back as an actress. The team is now looking for a replacement actor after Ramya’s exit. The movie was scheduled to begin shooting this year.

Ramya was initially set to star in Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye. But she decided to quit the acting role. Instead, she took on the role of producer for the film. Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye received excellent reviews from critics and audiences alike.

In a recent interview with Times of India, she stressed that the script is quintessential. When she got the script from Raj and read it, she thought a newcomer would fit the role better. Raj agreed because he believed it was better for the movie. So, they chose Siri Ravikumar for the role.

Directed by Sharath Manjunath and Rohith Padaki, the film stars Shivarajkumar, Atul Kulkarni, and Dhananjaya in pivotal roles. With music composed by Charan Raj, the cinematography of the film is handled by Advaitha Gurumurthy. Meanwhile, the film is produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj.

Ramya made her acting debut with the film Abhi in Kannada cinema. She was last seen in the 2016 film Nagarahavu. She held the position of Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Mandya, Karnataka. The actress is known for her work primarily in Kannada and Tamil language films.
