80-year-old dead after fire in Shelby County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - An 80-year-old man is dead after a fire Friday afternoon in Waddy, Kentucky.
Shelby County Coroner Jeff Ivers said around 12:45 p.m., Waddy Fire was called to the 600 block of McFarland Lane on the report of a structure fire with a rescue. Additional help was called in after they arrived.
Ivers said firefighters later found Harvey Keeling. Keeling was pronounced dead at the scene.
Other family members were there as well, with one being taken to Frankfort Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Ivers.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
