Suspects are in custody for two separate homicides in Dover over the past weekend.
Police investigated a reported shooting Sunday night in the area of South Governors Avenue and West Reed Street. A 15-year-old Dover male died at the scene.
Dover Police said their investigation indicates that a group of suspects ambushed the victim as he was walking in the area. 19-year-old Breshawn Best was identified as one of the suspects. He was taken into custody without incident.
Best was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $1.086-million cash bail on charges of Murder 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Conspiracy First Degree.
Early Sunday at 1:26 a.m., two people were shot in the area of Irish Mike's along West Loockerman Street. 25-year-old Syncere Friends of Dover died after being taken to a hospital. A 30-year-old Magnolia woman was wounded.
23-year-old Sadique Ingram of Dover was later arrested during a traffic stop in Milford. Ingram is charged with Murder First Degree, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Assault First Degree and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
Ingram was being held at SCI on $1-million cash bail.
