REDDING, Calif. - The Redding Police Department has shut down a butane honey oil lab on Hartnell Avenue.
Police said on March 27, at around 11:30 a.m., officers executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of Hartnell Avenue. During the warrant service, officers discovered a functioning butane honey oil lab concealed in an auto body shop.
Police said a BHO laboratory produces concentrated cannabis, which has a high value on the illegal market.
During the search, police said they found evidence of concentrated cannabis being manufactured for sale. Officers seized over 16 pounds of concentrated cannabis. Officers did not locate anyone at the scene; however, they discovered information that Michael Easley, 47, of Anderson, was responsible for manufacturing BHO at the location.
On April 3, officers located and arrested Easley in the city of Redding for several drug-related offenses related to the BHO Laboratory. Officers booked Easley into the Shasta County Jail.
