ORIGINAL STORY:

A small craft advisory has been issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

It will apply to the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in Arkansas.

Due to excessive rainfall in the natural state, Arkansas River flows have increased passed 70,000 cubic feet per second at Dardanelle, according to USACE.

Pleasure crafts are widely affected by strong currents and large debris, as a result of the increasing river flow.

In Dardanelle, river flows are above 100,000 c.f.s. When it exceeds that amount, it begins to flow downstream.
