No one won the $865 million Powerball jackpot, but there were six third-prize-winning tickets sold in New York — including one in Cayuga County.
The New York Lottery said a third-prize ticket worth $50,000 was sold at Union Springs Supermarket. The ticket was for the Powerball drawing on Wednesday.
Other third-prize-winning tickets were sold at a Citgo gas station in Albertson, Nassau County; Accent Lobby Store in Uniondale, Nassau County; Quick Chek in Nanuet, Rockland County; Stewart's Shops in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County; and Tops Markets in Walworth, Wayne County.
A third-prize ticket matches four of the winning numbers and the Powerball. The winning numbers for Wednesday's drawing were 37, 46, 57, 60, 66 and the Powerball was 8.
